I have seen many people trying to treat the results of problems, without treating their causes. The causes remain, leading to the same results. It would have been better for them to treat the causes, and then the results would disappear automatically..
They remind me of a person complaining of a pus-filled abscess in his body, one of the results of which is that his temperature rises. So a doctor comes to try to reduce the temperature, without treating its cause, which is the pus-filled abscess! The fever continues as long as its cause remains.
I have seen the same example in a spiritual guide who may cause his children to become psychologically and intellectually exhausted because of certain problems. So he tries to treat their psychological and intellectual exhaustion with pain-relieving, calming, and sleep-inducing medications that distract them from the problem for a while. When their effect wears off, they return to their psychological exhaustion, because the causes of their exhaustion are still present. So he gives them other calming medications, without any result, because he has not treated the causes!!
