A Practical Piece of Advice: Managing Church Membership

A Practical Piece of Advice: Managing Church Membership
There are occasions when the church is filled with attendees, including many who do not attend regularly. Among these occasions are New Year’s Day, the Feast of the Nativity, Palm Sunday, the Feast of the Resurrection, and other feasts and special occasions.
Therefore, printed forms can be prepared in advance and distributed to everyone who enters the church. These forms should include all the necessary information:
- The person’s name and address.
- Telephone number and occupation.
- The wife’s name.
- The names of the children and their ages.
- The name of the father confessor.
These forms should then be collected and entered into the church membership register, as well as stored in the computer. The priest should visit those whose names have not previously been visited and carry out the necessary pastoral ministry.
We are publishing this before the feast days so that preparations can be made in advance. If one feast or occasion has already passed, the membership forms can be distributed at the next feast or another suitable occasion.
May every year find you all in goodness.
