Ways to Solve Problems[1]

Every human being is liable to fall into problems. But what is important is how he deals with the problem and solves it.

Some try to deal with the problem through violence and confrontation.

Whether it is physical violence, violence in behavior, or violence in speech. He becomes angry with the one who caused the problem, gets furious, uses force and a loud voice, and confronts people. Perhaps, in confronting them, he loses them and loses their friendship and love.

Another person solves the problem *** through commands and prohibitions.

This happens with a father with his children, or a husband with his wife, or a superior with his subordinates. Authority is an easy matter; it costs its owner nothing. But authority has many reactions, which may also be with the same violence, and may lead to rebellion against authority. At the very least, even if the problem is solved externally, it is not solved within the heart, nor in feelings and relationships.

Some try to solve the problem by ignoring it.

He tries to convince himself that there is no problem. He thinks that if he closes his eyes to it, he will not see it, and thus it will not trouble him! The problem remains, but he does not speak about it, does not think about it, and does not disclose it…

But problems have many solutions.

They are solved through sound, calm thinking, and wisdom, as the wise Solomon used to solve the problems that were presented to him or brought before him.

The problem is solved through prayer, by presenting it to God, and sometimes through fasts and Liturgies, as the saints used to do.

And although some problems need to be decided quickly, other problems may be solved through patience and forbearance…

It is not appropriate to solve a problem with a problem.

Nor is it appropriate to solve a problem with a mistake, or in an unspiritual way, like those who solve problems through lying, or cunning, or human tricks and evasiveness, or by deceiving people!!
