Service and Church Trips

Service and Church Trips
Question:
Is it permissible for me to be absent from the service because I am participating in a church trip?
Answer:
If your absence will disrupt the service, then this matter would be very improper, and a stumbling block to the servants and to the rest of the servants as well. It may even result in the loss of the service, and the feeling that the trip is better than the spiritual work!!
Here we would like to present a few remarks:
(A) In Sunday School classes, there should be organization for trips and coordination between them and the service schedules, so that they do not conflict with them.
(B) If the whole class goes on a trip, then the trip itself can become a field for service, including hymns, the lesson, and more, so that the service is not interrupted.
(C) The element of commitment is very necessary for the service, so that the servant remains committed to his responsibility as a servant, and does not neglect his service whatever the reasons may be. He should serve with a spirit of seriousness, for this is necessary for the success of his service, and as an example to those he serves. The relationship of love between the servant and his students deepens because they feel his love for them and his self-sacrifice.
