Using Energies

An important question that we would like to present to every one of our churches, in Cairo, in Alexandria, and in the rest of the dioceses:

How many workers are there in the church?

And what is their percentage compared to the total number of its people?

The priest fathers, the council members, the servants of Church education, and the social service workers.

Do they perhaps represent 1% of the church congregation, while the rest of the people have no service!

Is it a lack of trust in our people and their abilities?

Or is the matter a lack of knowledge of the energies existing among the people of each church? Sometimes the congregation of one church in Shubra, for example, reaches fifteen thousand…

Or is there an assumption that everyone should remain at the level of the served, and not at the level of the servants!

First, we need to know the energies, or to form the energies, then to use the energies for building the Kingdom of God on earth… for service and for goodness.

But to ignore people and their abilities… or to neglect and not discover the abilities, and thus they remain inactive in the church…

This is something that does not agree with sound pastoral care.
