The lecture affirms that the Holy Bible is firm in its essence and divine inspiration, and that the so-called challenges of the age are not challenges to the Bible itself, but to how people deal with it. The problem lies in inaccurate translations, rational criticism detached from revelation, and personal interpretation that leads to division and heresies.

First: The Challenge of Translations

His Holiness points out that the multiplicity of translations and variation of wording can confuse the simple believer and introduce doubt into the heart. He emphasizes the necessity of adhering to a stable and accurate translation that preserves the spirit and meaning of the text without additions, deletions, or notes that may confuse the ordinary reader.

Second: Rational Criticism (Criticism)

He warns against subjecting revelation to the mind instead of allowing revelation to guide the mind. Critical study, when detached from faith, turns the sacred text into a source of doubt and opens the door to denying parts of the Bible or questioning its inspiration.

Third: The Danger of Personal Interpretation

Individual interpretation separated from the apostolic tradition of the Church has led to the emergence of many sects and denominations. The Church, through its tradition, preserves the faith once delivered to the saints and prevents deviation in interpretation and doctrine.

Fourth: The Wholeness of the Holy Bible

The Holy Bible is one integrated book. It is not understood through a single verse, but by comparing verses with one another and viewing the Old and New Testaments as one complete unity. It is the source of doctrinal, theological, spiritual, and moral teaching.

Fifth: Facing Modern Issues Through the Spirit of the Bible

Although the Bible does not explicitly mention modern issues, it establishes general spiritual principles that enlighten the mind to judge every new matter. Man does not belong to himself but to God, and from this foundation Christian ethics and righteous conduct are understood.

Sixth: The Holy Bible as Life and Light

The Bible is not merely intellectual material, but a living word read in the spirit of prayer, granting illumination and power for practice. Therefore, His Holiness calls for memorizing the Bible in the heart, not for mere knowledge, but for holy living and spiritual growth.
