With the Needy Poor
It is not only our duty to care for the poor.
It is also our duty to bear with the poor.
This is because some servants whom the Church or the association assigns to serve the brethren of the Lord may not be able to bear with some of these needy people who are persistent in their requests or who frequently return to the place, or those who, because of their need, are compelled to lie and whose lies are exposed, or those who exaggerate their requests or ask for more than the Church’s or the association’s budget can bear.
We must bear with these people and try to comfort them as much as we can.
Forbearance has its reward, just as giving has its reward.
