The sermon speaks about waiting for the Lord with confidence and faith, explaining that God fulfills His promises at the time He sees as appropriate and with perfect wisdom. The sermon emphasizes that a delay in the eyes of man does not mean that God has stopped working; rather, God is continually working even when we cannot see what He is doing.

Spiritual Message

The believer should wait for the Lord with hope, faith, trust, and joy, without losing his inner peace because of a delayed answer. True waiting does not mean despair, complaining, or doubting God’s love, but means trusting in His love, wisdom, and care. The sermon explains that when a person becomes anxious, he may resort to human ways, while the spiritual person places the matter in God’s hands and does not rush His providence. Waiting for the Lord also renews a person’s strength, as Scripture says that those who wait for the Lord “renew their strength.”

Educational Lesson

The sermon presents biblical examples of waiting, such as Abraham waiting for the fulfillment of the promise, Elijah waiting for the rain, and Moses and God’s people waiting for salvation at the Red Sea. These examples show that God’s promises do not fail, even when their fulfillment appears delayed. They also teach us that God may have already begun preparing the solution many years earlier without our realizing it, because His way is quiet, balanced, and wise.

Practical Application

When we face a problem or have a request for which we pray, we should place the matter in God’s hands and wait steadfastly without anxiety or disturbance. We should continue praying, not only with prayers of persistence, but also with prayers of trust in which we say that we believe God is working and that He will choose the most appropriate time. Therefore, we should preserve our faith, hope, and peace, always remembering that God is working even when we cannot see His work. Trusting in God while waiting leads to renewed strength, while anxiety takes away our peace and causes us to resort to human ways.
