It is assumed that the father priest should be fit to teach, for the Scripture says, “For the lips of a priest should keep knowledge, and people should seek the law from his mouth” [Malachi 2:7].
And if he is not so, then at least he should encourage teaching in the church as much as he is able..
And he should seek the help of those who have the gifts of teaching, so that they may fill this deficiency, and the people may receive their portion of teaching.
