I was astonished at the parents who want to use the father of confession of their children in order to pressure those children into carrying out what the parents want, no matter how unfair it may be to the son or daughter!
For example, the parents say to the father of confession: Tell the boy not to fast, or not to go to the monastery, or not to attend the meetings, or that he should not… etc.
Thus they want the father of confession to be under their guidance, while he is the one guiding their son!
So he does not act in guidance according to his conscience, or according to the guidance of the Spirit of the Lord to him… Rather, he becomes merely an executive instrument in their hands to fulfill their desires, even if they are wrong.
And they threaten the son every now and then with complaining to the father of confession…
And if the father of confession does not respond to them, they become angry and take a موقف against him..!
