Spiritual Wars

The main idea of the lecture:
The lecture discusses the topic of spiritual wars that every person goes through, confirming that they are an essential part of spiritual life, and that they are not limited to the weak but extend even to the saints, and even to Christ Himself who was tempted and triumphed.

The nature of spiritual wars:
Spiritual wars have multiple sources; they may come from the devil, from the internal desires of the person, or from the surrounding world. They are not incidental but a constant reality in human life since the fall of Adam and Eve.

️ The believer’s موقف from wars:
The believer is called not to fear these wars, because fear gives power to the enemy. Rather, he must remain steadfast in faith and trust that God works in him and grants him victory.

 The source of victory:
Victory is not by human strength, but by the power of God working in him. Christ presented an example of the victory of human nature and gave man the ability to overcome through union with Him.

️ Spiritual vigilance:
One of the most important weapons of the believer is watchfulness and vigilance, because the enemy attacks in moments of negligence. Therefore, the Church calls for fasting and prayer as means of spiritual readiness.

 Not being lenient with sin:
Being lenient with sin is the beginning of سقوط. Therefore, one must resist the wrong thought from its beginning and not negotiate or tolerate it.

 Practical resistance:
Resistance is through several means: not fearing, steadfastness in faith, spiritual vigilance, and wearing the full armor of God through prayer, fasting, and the Word of God.

 The fruits of spiritual wars:
Despite their difficulty, spiritual wars benefit the person; they give him experience, humility, compassion for others, and make him experience God’s help practically.
