Is There Life on the Planets?

Question:
Scientists are interested in the issue of whether there is life on other planets. What is Christ’s position on this matter? And if science later proves the existence of life, would this affect religion?
Answer:
Religion has left this subject without addressing it with a yes or no. Whether the existence of life on the planets is proven, or its non-existence is proven, this does not affect religion in any way.
The Holy Bible was not intended to be a book of astronomy or a book of science, but rather it is the good news of salvation. It tells the story of salvation, and everything related to it in terms of history, commandments, and theology…
As for the planets, what is in them has no relation to our salvation. It is enough that they give us light at night as a grace from God to us. God has also likened His righteous saints to them, saying that they shine like the stars.
If life is found on them, there is nothing in the Scripture that contradicts this. And if none is found, there is nothing in the Scripture that contradicts this either…
