Preaching During Communion

Preaching During Communion
Question
Is it permissible for a sermon to be delivered during the distribution, while the believers are receiving Holy Communion?
Answer
This is not permissible, because it involves a lack of reverence for these holy moments and causes distraction from the Sacraments…
The time of Communion is fitting for praise, hymns, and melodies.
For the Church stands to praise God for His grace which He has abundantly bestowed, in His generosity allowing us to partake of His most holy Body and Blood.
But to be distracted from the Word of God by the words of people is not permissible or appropriate, because we would have forgotten the great Mystery present on the altar and given our thoughts and senses to the subject of the sermon.
And let us not forget that people usually listen while sitting, whereas sitting is not appropriate during the time of Communion…
