Question
What should our attitude be toward a senior servant in the Church? who gives appointments to deliver a sermon, yet we wait for him and he repeatedly fails to come, then offers unacceptable excuses?
Answer
There is no doubt that a servant who sets a time to deliver a message and then does not come is a person who does not consider the feelings of those being served, nor the welfare of the meeting. Repeated absences make the meeting unstable and may even cause it to fall apart.
If he has an unavoidable excuse, then it is expected that this servant should present that excuse before the meeting, with enough time to allow another servant to be invited as a substitute.
Since he has repeated this absence, the best disciplinary measure is that you refrain from inviting him to deliver a message again.
