Examples of men and women in the Bible

⬇️ تحميل الفيديو

The lecture reviews examples of men and women mentioned in the Holy Bible to clarify multiple attributes: obedience and disobedience, service and piety, wisdom and weakness. We see examples starting with Adam and Eve as the first humans and sinners, then it moves to strong women such as the Shunammite, Deborah, Jezebel and Delilah, and it also presents examples of repentance and devotion as in the lives of Mary Magdalene and Zacchaeus the tax collector.

The Characteristics of Woman and Man according to Scripture

The lecture discusses that the woman was created as a helper for the man and equal to him in dignity and responsibility, but the Scripture also mentions that the man has the role of head in the family. The speaker indicates that the woman is emotional by nature and sometimes loves to serve God’s men with her money, and that there are strong women destined to be leaders, intercessors, or servants.

Practical Examples from Both Testaments

Stories from the Old and New Testaments are presented: the Shunammite who honored Elisha, Deborah the judge and prophetess, Jezebel the wicked, Abigail the wise, Delilah the betrayer, and women who served Christ such as Mary Magdalene and ladies who spent on the ministry. The lecture also highlights the barren woman who became a mother as an example of God’s provision and grace (Hannah, Sarah, the mother of Samson).

The Spiritual Dimension from a Coptic Orthodox Perspective

The spiritual message affirms that God uses both men and women equally in His plan: for holiness or for trial. Salvation and repentance are available to anyone who repents, and the Church values domestic service and the household church as in the examples of Priscilla and Aquila and Mary the mother of Mark. It also points to symbolism: some women represent the Church of the nations or deeper spiritual attributes.

A Practical Call

The lecture calls for discerning between strength for good and strength for evil, for adopting service and repentance and for correcting those who err with wisdom, and to acknowledge that God may turn afflictions into great gifts if believers rely on Him with patience and prayer.
