Clergy Records

Clergy Records
For the sake of organization in the Church, it is beneficial to maintain records of all members of the clergy, including priests and monks, in all their ranks.
These records should include the necessary information for each person:
His secular name, date of birth, education, occupation, and service before consecration; the date of his ordination; the dates of the ranks he received; his service after consecration (for priests); his address and telephone number; and his writings, if any. It should also include the name of his confessor before and after consecration.
Such records are very necessary for the proper organization of ministry.
A copy of these records should be kept at the Patriarchate, and another copy at the diocese in which the clergyman serves, or at the monastery where he embraced monastic life.
