An Encyclopedia for Women

An Encyclopedia for Women
There is no doubt that it would be a very beneficial project if we were to publish an encyclopedia about women, encompassing everything related to them.
In this encyclopedia, we would speak about the holy women who were mentioned in the Holy Bible, in the Synaxarium, and in the lives of the saints in general.
Whether in the field of martyrdom, monasticism and ascetic wandering, prophecy, or evangelism. As well as repentant women, women evangelists, and deaconesses, and also famous wise women such as Abigail, whose wisdom David the Prophet praised, and the Queen of Sheba, who loved the wisdom of Solomon…
Along with famous women in history, which proves the capability of women and the strength of their intellect and will, with an account of the names of women who played a major role in all fields…
And demonstrating the skill of women in their work.
The encyclopedia could also include famous women even in sinful conduct, such as Queen Jezebel the wife of King Ahab, so that lessons may be learned from their lives.
And the encyclopedia could include the various roles of women: as wives, mothers, daughters, and mothers-in-law… and as workers in society, and the aspects of their success and failure…
Here the encyclopedia could also address what women need in the medical, psychological, and social aspects. As well as what they need to know in the field of “personal status laws”.
And there is no objection for the encyclopedia to include the present-day activity of women in the service of the Church in the fields of Church education, religious education in general, the ministry of the diaconate, the fields of development, art, home management, workshops, celebrations, and ecumenical work… etc.
And mention could also be made of what women have accomplished in the fields of authorship, translation, literature, and science…
The project of this encyclopedia is a great work, and an important matter not only for women, but for society as a whole.
And it is important to us that everyone contribute to it, men and women alike. And through its success, God willing, it can be translated into other languages so that our sons and daughters in the diaspora may benefit from it.
