This phrase revolves around a person asking God to reign in his heart and life, and for the Kingdom of God to appear internally before being external.

The Spiritual Dimension
The prayer “Let Your Kingdom come” is not just words, but a true longing for God’s sovereignty over thought, heart, and behavior. The Kingdom of God begins inside a person when he submits to God’s will and lives according to His commandments.

The Faith Application
This request calls the believer to continuous repentance, purity of heart, and striving toward a holy life. It also encourages him to make God the true King over all details of his life.

The Orthodox Concept
In the Coptic Orthodox faith, the Kingdom of God is experienced now in the life of communion with God, and is fully revealed in eternity. Therefore, the believer lives between present hope and future expectation.

The Spiritual Message
Praying this request means rejecting the control of sin and the world, and accepting the work of divine grace in the heart, so that the person becomes a dwelling place for God.
