The main idea:
The lecture explains that the ascension of the Lord Christ was not a random event, but happened at the appropriate time after completing His redemptive and educational mission, and after conquering the world and Satan, and establishing the Church and reassuring His disciples.

Completion of the mission and salvation:
His Holiness Pope Shenouda III confirms that the Lord Christ did not ascend until He completed the work of redemption and salvation, and presented the correct teaching to البشر, declaring that He finished the work given to Him.

 Spiritual victory:
The ascension came after complete victory over the world and Satan, whether in temptations or on the cross, to be an example for every believer that spiritual life is struggle and victory.

Establishing the Church and reassuring the disciples:
Before the ascension, the Lord Christ strengthened His disciples, removed their doubts, taught them about the Kingdom of God, and promised them the Holy Spirit, confirming the importance of spiritual preparation before ministry.

 Ascension in glory:
Christ ascended in great glory, with a glorified body, to declare His divinity and leave the disciples with a powerful image of His divine glory to support them in their preaching.

The theological dimension of the ascension:
The ascension confirms that Christ came down from heaven and returned to it, a clear declaration of His eternity and divinity, and that He will come again in His glory in the second coming.

 Ascension as a spiritual call:
The ascension is not only a historical event, but a call for every person to ascend spiritually in life and thoughts through repentance and continuous growth.

 Spiritual life as continuous ascent:
Life with God is a continuous rising toward heaven, whether through prayer, thought, or behavior, with always directing the gaze upward where divine help comes from.
