The Oblation (7)
Peace and Edification

The priest carries it in a veil upon his head, looks at the people, and says: “Glory and honor, honor and glory, to the Holy Trinity… peace and edification to Your one, only, holy Church.”

Thus, we honor the Holy Trinity in the work of salvation, and we see that offering the oblation is peace and edification for the holy Church.

Yes, the entire edification of the Church depends on this holy sacrifice, which we offer for our sins and the ignorances of the people, for salvation, forgiveness of sins, and purification of our souls, bodies, and spirits.
