First: The Main Idea of the Lecture

The lecture explains why God delayed the Incarnation and the redemption of humanity for thousands of years after the fall of Adam. This delay was not neglect, but a deep divine preparation of the human mind and heart to understand the meaning of salvation, redemption, and incarnation.

Second: Divine Preparation for the Concept of Redemption

God began to explain the idea of redemption gradually through sacrifices. Humanity learned that sin leads to death, and that an innocent life dies in place of a guilty one.
Man understood that the sacrifice dies instead of him, and that blood symbolizes life, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness.

Third: Symbols and Prophecies

God used many symbols such as the Passover lamb, the Day of Atonement, and the scapegoat, to plant in the human mind that sin is carried, removed, and forgiven.
God also announced salvation beforehand through prophecies that spoke about the Savior, His birth from a virgin, His suffering, His death, and His complete redemption.

Fourth: The Necessity of an Unlimited Redeemer

Since sin is directed against the unlimited God, it is an unlimited sin, and it cannot be atoned for except by an unlimited redemption. Therefore, the Redeemer had to be God Himself.

Fifth: The Fullness of Time

The Incarnation occurred only when all conditions were fulfilled:

  • Spiritual concepts were firmly established
  • The humble and holy Virgin was present
  • The one who prepares the way had appeared
  • Religious, political, and linguistic conditions were ready to spread salvation

Then, in the fullness of time, God was incarnate, redemption was accomplished, and humanity understood the meaning of salvation as God intended from the beginning.
