The Image of God – Who is Man? And How Did He Lose the Divine Image?

that man is created in the image and likeness of God as stated in the Book of Genesis, and that this image is manifested in righteousness, holiness, innocence and simplicity that Adam and Eve had before sin.
The speaker indicated that the image of God in man includes dominion and authority over creation, personal strength and determination, and the success that God blesses the righteous with, as well as humility and meekness as divine qualities humans should possess.
He also mentioned that human beauty is part of the divine image, and that the fall of humanity led to the gradual distortion of this image and its hereditary corruption.
Adam’s fall led to the loss of innocence and the appearance of fear, ignorance and hiding from God, and man also lost his dominion over animals and the earth, and death began to take dominion in the world.
The serious consequences of losing the image include moral corruption, false worship and even the denial of God, and the spread of evil which exploited human weakness.
The speaker explains that man can partially restore the image of God through the work of grace and the Holy Spirit, and that there are practical and spiritual ways that will be shown later to restore the image.
He clarified that the image of God in man concerns the spirit and is in relative aspects, not absolute, and that we must strive to be like Him in will, work, love and light.
He concluded that there is a clear Christian directive to convey the image of God to the world through a calm, loving and meek life, and that the topic will be completed in future gatherings with practical points to understand how the image of God will be in eternity.
