The emotion of motherhood is an instinct in woman.
Through this emotion she overflows with tenderness, loves childhood, and shows compassion toward the little ones and those like them. Therefore, the law grants women priority over men in the custody of young children, for they are naturally more suited for it.
For this reason, women also succeed in supervising nurseries and in raising children—especially in the elementary stage—whether in church education or in general schooling. With the same maternal emotion, women also excel in nursing more than men.
