  1. Service as a Divine Law of Creation:
From the beginning, all creation serves man — light, darkness, the sun, the moon, water, and all living creatures. Service is a universal divine principle.

  2. Mutual Service among People:
Life is based on cooperation: husband and wife serve one another, both serve their children, and the family serves society. Even the state exists to serve its people.

  3. Talents for Service:
Every talent is given by God to serve others, not for pride or self-glory. Using a gift selfishly contradicts its divine purpose.

  4. Types of Service:

    • Service of Duty: performed as a responsibility.

    • Voluntary Service: done out of love and inner conviction, without external obligation.

  5. Service for All:
Service is not limited to teachers or clergy. As Scripture says: “He who knows to do good and does not do it, to him it is sin.”

  6. Service of Comfort and Help:
The best service is to comfort others—by kind words, practical aid, or attentive listening. Even good listening can be an act of service.

  7. Qualities of True Service:

    • Love: the foundation of all service.

    • Giving and Sacrifice: offering time, effort, health, and wealth.

    • Humility: not seeking position or authority but washing others’ feet.

    • Zeal and Diligence: a burning heart eager to work for others.

  8. Types of Church Service:

    • Spiritual Service: leading souls to God, not merely giving lessons.

    • Social Service: helping the poor, sick, widowed, and needy.

    • Educational and Cultural Service: enlightening minds through faith.

  9. The Importance of Serving Children and Youth:
Children absorb what they see and hear; therefore, we must plant faith and virtues in them early, through Scripture memorization and spiritual training.

  10. Practical Spirit of Service:
True service is humble and hidden. The genuine servant works quietly for love’s sake, seeking no praise.

  11. Dangers in Service:
Pride, control, and the search for personal glory corrupt true ministry. Service must aim at God’s honor, not self-promotion.

  12. Service by Example:
Living as an example of Christ is itself a powerful form of ministry — silent but transformative.
