Saint Marmina the Wonderworker
In this lecture, His Holiness Pope Shenouda III speaks about Saint Mina as a great model of strength, faith, and determination for young people. Saint Mina was martyred at only 23 years old. Before becoming a monk, he was a military leader and later founded a monastery. He was known for his miracles and remarkable spiritual power.
🔹 A Call to Youth:
His Holiness emphasizes that youth is not a weakness. As the Bible says: “Let no one despise your youth.” Young people are called to be strong in faith, wisdom, and purpose, serving the Church with courage.
🔹 The Power of Faith:
The Pope describes a faithful young person as fire—when filled with holy zeal, they ignite others’ hearts. Just as fire spreads to everything it touches, so does the spirit-filled youth inspire and transform the Church and community with living faith.
🔹 The Spiritual Message:
The Pope urges youth to be “spiritual flames” that enlighten and sanctify their surroundings, serving God with strong faith and unwavering dedication—just like Saint Mina, whose short life became a powerful testimony to Christ.
