Doubt in God: This often begins through reading atheist books or associating with skeptics. That’s why faith must be planted in children early — with simple teaching in childhood, explanations in adolescence, and logical defense in youth.

Doubt in God’s help: Examples like Gideon, Rebekah, and Abraham show that waiting can cause doubt, yet God’s promises are always fulfilled in His perfect timing.

Doubt in doctrine: The Pope warns against focusing only on spirituality while neglecting theology. He urges deep doctrinal teaching to protect believers from false teachings.

Doubt in miracles: Simple hearts believe easily, but overly rational minds may question God’s power.

🔥 Causes of Doubt:
The devil uses doubt as a weapon, just as he tempted Adam and Eve with “Did God really say?”. He also plants despair, as with Judas. Doubt can arise from long troubles, illusions, exposure to skeptics, or narrow thinking.

Faith and knowledge are the cure. Quoting Scripture in temptation—as Christ did—is a shield against doubt. Spiritual mentors also help guide believers through confusion and hesitation.
A strong believer stands firm in trials, declaring with Moses: “Stand still and see the salvation of the Lord.” Faith is the light that conquers the darkness of fear and doubt.
