Biblical Characters – Samuel the Prophet

His Holiness Pope Shenouda III presents in this talk the life of the Prophet Samuel from his wondrous childhood, showing the depth of faith in which he was raised, and how God chose him as a prophet in a corrupt era to become the last judge of Israel and the greatest prophet after Moses. The lecture highlights the power of prayer, divine election, and Samuel’s humble obedience, and reveals God’s wisdom in leading the people, anointing kings, and establishing David as a king after God’s heart.
