Attributes of Allah – The Just Judge

⬇️ تحميل الفيديو

His Holiness Pope Shenouda III speaks about one of God’s unique attributes — that He alone is the righteous Judge. Only God can judge with perfect justice, for His knowledge is complete and His right to judge is absolute. Humans may be fair, but their fairness is limited; God’s justice is perfect and flawless.

🕊 Main idea

  • God alone is the righteous Judge because His justice is absolute.

  • Abraham said in Genesis 18: “Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?” — affirming God’s perfect fairness.

  • The Psalms in the Agpeya often call God “the Judge,” reminding us that His justice and mercy work together.

🌿 Reasons why God alone can judge

  1. God knows everything — every thought, intention, and action, both hidden and visible. So His judgment is based on complete knowledge.

  2. God has the right to judge — because sin is directed against Him; it is the breaking of His commandments. As David said:

“Against You, You only, have I sinned, and done what is evil in Your sight” (Psalm 51).

Humans have no right to judge others, but God has the full authority as Creator and Judge of all.

🌟 Spiritual and practical reflection

  • Faith in God’s justice brings peace and assurance, knowing that God never wrongs anyone.

  • Knowing that God is the righteous Judge calls us to repent and be merciful, not judgmental.

  • God’s judgment is both just and loving—He judges not in anger, but in wisdom and mercy.
