Main Idea

The lecture discusses the blessings of the birth of the Lord Jesus Christ and its impact on our spiritual lives, explaining that the Nativity is not merely a historical event, but the beginning of humanity’s story of salvation and a wonderful revelation of God’s love for mankind. God Himself initiated the reconciliation and descended to humanity when humanity was unable to reach Him. The Lord Jesus Christ came to save mankind, restore humanity to its original image, and open the way to eternal life.

Spiritual Message

  1. God’s Love and His Pursuit of Humanity’s Salvation: The Nativity reveals that God loves humanity and seeks its salvation. He humbled Himself, took the form of a servant, became incarnate, and endured suffering and humiliation for the salvation of mankind. Therefore, we should respond to God’s love with our love for Him and join Him in seeking our own salvation and that of others.
  2. The Sanctification of Human Nature: When the Lord Jesus Christ assumed our human nature, He sanctified and blessed it, demonstrating that the body is not inherently evil or sinful, but can become holy and serve God. Sin is what corrupts humanity, not the physical nature that God created and declared to be very good.
  3. The Sanctification of All Stages of Life and Human Activities: Christ sanctified childhood, adolescence, youth, and maturity, giving each stage its ideal example. He also sanctified various human activities, such as eating, drinking, sleeping, working, resting, praying, and fasting. He showed us that a person can live a holy life in all circumstances.
  4. Victory Over Satan: The Lord Jesus Christ conquered Satan through His humanity and presented the image of a victorious human being instead of the image of humanity defeated through Adam’s fall. He demonstrated that human nature can overcome temptations and walk in holiness and perfection.
  5. Christ Came for All People: Christ did not come for a particular group or a specific nation, but for everyone. Simple shepherds and wise Magi gathered around His birth, representing the poor and the rich, Jews and Gentiles. Christ’s love embraces all humanity, and He looks upon everyone with love and without discrimination.
  6. The Sanctification of Humanity in Christ: Christ did not sanctify only man’s nature; He also sanctified woman’s nature through His birth from the Virgin Mary. He revealed that all human nature can be sanctified through God’s work.

Educational Lesson

The Nativity teaches us that the Lord Jesus Christ is the perfect example whom we should follow in our lives. He presented an example of a life of solitude and service, showing us how to live among society and even among enemies without stumbling or deviating from God’s path. His life also confirms that holiness is not limited to a particular age or a specific type of activity. Rather, a person can live with God at every stage of life and in every place.

It also teaches us that Christ came for every human being, regardless of origin, race, or social position, and that all people have a share in His love and salvation.

Practical Application

  • Remember God’s great love revealed through the Incarnation, and respond to Him with love and obedience.
  • Seek our own salvation and the salvation of others, just as God sought the salvation of humanity.
  • Preserve our bodies, souls, and spirits in holiness, recognizing that our human nature has been sanctified in Christ.
  • Follow Christ’s example at every stage of life, asking Him to grant us a complete life at each stage.
  • Live a holy life within society without escaping the world or being influenced by its evils.
  • Treat all people with love, without discrimination based on gender, color, wealth, or poverty.
  • Rejoice in the truth that God is with us, that He dwells within us through His Holy Spirit, and that we are members of Christ’s Body.
  • Look forward to eternity, where we will live with God and with the divine family, which includes the angels and victorious human beings.
