The Working Woman: A Reality That Needs to Be Addressed

In our present society, with the development of the world, and with our economic circumstances, women’s work has become a reality that cannot be ignored: women resort to it in order to keep pace with an educated society, and also in order to help their present family, or their future family, in bearing the burdens of life.
Work also gives women a sphere in social life, in serving their country, and in feeling their own entity and personality, and it keeps them away from emptiness and the bad habits that follow from it, such as boredom, idle talk, and preoccupation with trivialities..
Moreover, alongside formal employment, women have become active outside the home, working in the church or in society, whether in social, educational, spiritual, or handicraft service.
And it has become incumbent upon us to face all of this with practical solutions, in order to avoid the problems caused by women’s work…
The first problem is the upbringing of children.
Are children to be raised in nurseries, or by domestic workers? And what about the psychological factors faced by a child who is raised away from his mother, or whose mother is preoccupied with him, and who returns to him exhausted and unable to bear it??
The second problem is the work environment:
That is, what the working woman is exposed to in terms of problems within the work environment, and the effect of this on her psyche, morals, and entire being.
And there are many other problems:
Such as the troubles of transportation, the difficulties of the work itself, the extent of success or failure in it, dealing with many different types of men, wavering between openness and introversion, simplicity and caution.. etc.
And will women’s work present us with a new kind of woman in her character and psyche?
And will women take on some of the traits of men, or will they remain feminine as they are? And what is the solution to all these problems that the society of working women will face in its present condition?
These are questions; contribute your answer.
