The Limits of the Word “Excommunicated”

The Limits of the Word “Excommunicated”
Some of the fathers, the bishops or the priests, use this expression without specifying its meaning: What kind of excommunication is meant?
Is it general excommunication from the Church (which requires an ecclesiastical trial before a clerical council)?!
Or is it excommunication from a particular sacrament of the Church, such as being forbidden from Communion, for example, or preventing one of the priests from administering the Sacrament of Marriage, the Sacrament of the Eucharist, or the Sacrament of Confession?
Or is it preventing one of the deacons or laypeople from teaching in the Church?
Or preventing one of the members of the Church from receiving the Holy Mysteries? Or suspending one of the priests from priestly service?
