Sin Is Separation from God
Abiding in God means that a person lives in continuous fellowship with God and does not become shaken in his spiritual path or in his love for God.
A person who abides in the Lord remains steadfast in the Church, in the commandments, and in sound teaching, and has fellowship with the Holy Spirit.
Sin, on the other hand, is separation from God because it separates a person from His love, His commandments, His work, and His fellowship.
The preacher explains this through biblical examples, such as the prodigal son who left his father’s house and went to a far country, then returned to his father through repentance.
He also explains that repentance is a return to God and to abiding in Him after the state of separation caused by sin.
Spiritual Message
The teaching emphasizes that God wants a person to abide in Him, just as a branch abides in the vine, receiving life from the vine and bearing its fruit.
Abiding in God is not merely a temporary connection with Him, but remaining in His love, His commandments, His fellowship, His friendship, His way, and His house.

The goal is for a person not to live separated from God, but to remain with Him on earth and have his portion of being with Him also in heaven.
