What should I do about some colleagues who are offended by my personal behavior? Am I not free? Do they not have the right to interfere in my private life?

Your private life is divided into two parts:
A- A part that is visible to people and known to them, and this is what you mean.
B- And a part that no one knows, which belongs to your private matters: between you and yourself and your conscience, or between you and your parents and members of your family, or between you and your father of confession. All of this is unknown to your colleagues, and they do not interfere in it…
As for the known part of your life, such as your manner of dress and adornment, the way you speak, the way you laugh and enjoy yourself, and the way you deal with others, you cannot prevent people from commenting on it…
Nor is it permissible for you to say, “I am free” in all these matters.
Perhaps you are free in your own room, away from the eyes of others. Even that freedom is governed by your conscience and the commandments of God.
But in your actions that affect others, you are not free.
Your personal freedom must not become a cause of stumbling to others.
Your looks, your movements, your smiles, your relationships… all these should be conducted with great care, wisdom, and purity, taking into account the extent of the effect of your behavior on others. Do not consider all these things to be private matters in which others have no right to interfere…
You live in a society, and this society has its traditions, its judgments, and its evaluation of the actions of others.
You should respect the traditions and judgments of society. Judge yourself before society judges you, for your reputation is very important for you as a young woman.
