Certificates

Certificates
There are important occasions in the life of every individual that can be recorded in a certificate granted to him by the Church.
Examples of this include:
- A Baptism Certificate.
- A Marriage Certificate.
- An Ordination Certificate for each rank of the diaconate, such as Psaltos, Anagnostes, Subdeacon, and Deacon.
- A Certificate for one who is ordained a priest.
These certificates may have special designs in a particular liturgical style. They should include the date and bear the signature of the priest or bishop, as well as the seal of the Church.
Each certificate may also have a serial number, and a copy of it, or of its information, should be kept in the Church records.
This is a useful form of organization, and it would be desirable for it to be followed in all churches and throughout all dioceses.
