Verification Before Signing

Verification Before Signing
Many times, some people present a book or a picture to the priest or the bishop for him to sign.
The father should make sure before signing that everything is sound from the doctrinal and liturgical standpoint.
He should not sign a book whose contents he does not know, or about whose author’s or publisher’s doctrine he has doubts.
And if he signs a Gospel distributed by the Gideons, he should remove their special advertisements that appear at the beginning or the end of the Gospel.
The signature of a clergyman on a book implicitly means his approval of its contents. Therefore, he should be careful.
