A simple spiritual expression that reflects the human request from God for forgiveness, which is the essence of the life of repentance in the Coptic Orthodox faith.

The spiritual dimension:

  • This request confirms the human awareness of his weakness and sins.
  • It reflects a spirit of humility and returning to God with a contrite heart.
  • Divine forgiveness is considered a fundamental gift that grants inner peace.
  • Repentance is not مجرد words, but a continuous life of returning to God.
  • Asking for forgiveness is associated with faith in God’s wide mercy.
  • It encourages the believer to forgive others as he asks for forgiveness.
  • It deepens the personal relationship between الإنسان and God.
  • It reminds of the importance of confession and sincere return in the spiritual life.
