The lecture explains the commandment “Do not kill” from a deeper perspective as presented by Christ, clarifying that killing is not limited to physical action, but includes many feelings and actions such as anger, hatred, and negligence.

🕊 The spiritual dimension of the commandment
The lecture confirms that Christ spoke with divine authority and expanded the concept of the commandment to include the beginnings of sin such as anger, as it is the first step toward killing. Unjust anger leads to spiritual judgment.

⚖️ Different types of killing
It explains that killing may be:

  • Physical such as abortion.
  • Gradual such as smoking and drugs.
  • Moral such as defamation.
  • Spiritual such as stumbling blocks and heresies.
  • Through negligence such as leaving others to perish without help.

🔥 Anger as the root of sin
The lecture points out that unjust anger is the beginning of many sins, and that “the anger of man does not produce the righteousness of God.” Anger also leads to revenge, cruelty, and lack of forgiveness.

🙏 Holy anger and false anger
The lecture distinguishes between holy anger (for the sake of truth and faith) and false anger (for personal interests), affirming that the first is acceptable while the second is a sin.

💔 Spiritual consequences of anger
Anger destroys many virtues such as love, meekness, humility, and peace, and causes a person to fall into judgment and self-justification.

🌿 A call to spiritual struggle
The lecture calls for resisting anger, controlling oneself, and resembling angels in not being saddened, or the strugglers in quickly reconciling.

💡 Spiritual conclusion
The commandment “Do not kill” is a call to a pure life free from anger and hatred, based on love and forgiveness, where a person begins by correcting his heart to live according to God’s will.
