✝️ The Main Idea

The lecture explains the depth of the commandment “Do not kill” as taught by Christ, showing that it is not limited to physical killing, but includes unjust anger and everything that harms a person physically, psychologically, or spiritually.

🔥 Christ’s Authority in Teaching

Christ shows His divine authority in interpreting the law, not stopping at the literal text but revealing its deep inner meaning, confirming that sin begins in thoughts and emotions.

💢 Anger as the Root of Sin

Unjust anger is the beginning of killing, because it leads to judgment, insult, and possibly real harm. Therefore, Christ calls for controlling emotions before they turn into actions.

⚖️ Types of Killing

The commandment includes many forms of killing:

  • Direct physical killing.
  • Gradual killing such as smoking and drugs.
  • Moral killing such as damaging reputation.
  • Spiritual killing through stumbling blocks and false teaching.
  • Killing through neglect or عدم helping others.

🌿 Holy Anger vs. False Anger

Not all anger is sin; there is holy anger for truth and faith, but anger for personal or material reasons is false and rejected.

🧠 The Danger of Anger

Anger is a compound sin that includes:

  • Hatred and lack of forgiveness
  • Revenge
  • Pride and self-justification
  • Judging others
  • Loss of gentleness and kindness

💔 The Impact on Spiritual Life

Anger destroys the fruits of the Spirit like love and peace, makes the heart impure, and affects prayer and fasting.

🕊️ The Call to Meekness

The teaching calls for calmness, self-control, avoiding anger, facing evil with humility, and directing inner strength against sin rather than people.
