I marvel at those—marriage during the Fast
I marvel at those who find it pleasing to marry only during the period of the Fast, and who exert exhausting pressure on the Patriarchate in this matter.
Their circumstances, their vacations, their travels… all of these suited nothing except the period of the Fast!! As for the laws of the Church and the spirituality of the Fast, these are matters that do not enter their thoughts at all.
It is natural—in the case of marriage—that they will not fast. And it is natural that the Church will not pray the wedding prayers with joyful melodies.
And if these people obtain permission to marry through pressure, will they receive a blessing through pressure?!
And how does a person begin his married life by breaking the laws of the Church?!
