The Ideal Journalist (9)

The Ideal Journalist (9)¹
In this section, we will publish every week a simple note, or advice… concerned with idealism in journalistic work.
The ideal journalist does not rush in publishing, nor is he tempted by the journalistic scoop; rather, he publishes with wisdom and deliberates greatly before publishing anything.
Speed is not the measure of success.
Rather, success is manifested in well-crafted, beneficial, wise work.
How many journalists hastened to publish an article or news item, then returned regretting it, saying to themselves or to people, “If only I had not published.”
The ideal journalist thinks a great deal before publishing, whereas others think after publishing, after they feel the consequences of what they have published.
Or he may not think at all, but rather others alert him…
