The Sermon on the Mount – Let your light shine before men

⬇️ تحميل الفيديو

The lecture revolves around the command of the Lord Christ: “Let your light so shine before men”, explaining that the believer is called to be a living light in the world, not through words but through deeds, so that this light leads others to glorify God, not the person.

🌿 The Spiritual Meaning of Light

Light symbolizes:

  • A life of righteousness and holiness

  • God’s commandments and His word

  • Spiritual virtues manifested in daily behavior

Through his spiritual life, the believer becomes a light that cannot be hidden, whether he intends it or not.

🏛 The Church and the Believer

  • The Church is likened to a shining city set on a mountain.

  • Every believer is a lamp, and when the lights come together, the Church’s light appears to the world.

  • True light cannot be hidden, no matter how much the powers of evil try.

🙏 Hidden Deeds and Visible Light

The teaching explains the balance between:

  • Doing almsgiving, prayer, and fasting in secret

  • And the impossibility of hiding virtues such as honesty, meekness, love, and peace

People see the good deeds without the believer trying to display them.

🎯 The Right Goal

The goal is not human glory, but:

  • “That they may glorify your Father who is in heaven.”

  • True good works lead to the glory of God and encourage others to walk in the spiritual path.

🕊 Spiritual Conclusion

The believer is called to live with purity of heart, without seeking praise or fearing people, trusting that God Himself reveals the light in His time, and that true light can never be extinguished.
