The Theology of Christ

⬇️ تحميل الفيديو

This lecture presents a deep and comprehensive theological explanation proving the divinity of the Lord Jesus Christ through Holy Scripture, divine attributes, His miracles and works, His eternal relationship with the Father, and His redemptive role in salvation.

✝️ First: Biblical Proof of Christ’s Divinity

His Holiness Pope Shenouda III affirms that the Holy Bible contains clear and explicit verses that proclaim Christ’s divinity, such as: “I and the Father are one,” “and the Word was God,” and “God was manifested in the flesh.” These texts plainly declare the divinity of the Son.

✨ Second: Divine Attributes Applied to Christ

There are divine attributes that humans do not share, such as omnipresence, eternality, unlimited knowledge, and the power of creation. These attributes were clearly manifested in the life of the Lord Christ, confirming that He is God incarnate.

🌍 Third: Miracles as Evidence of Divinity

Christ’s miracles were not merely acts of power but acts of creation, such as the multiplication of bread, turning water into wine, and creating eyes for the man born blind. These are works that only God the Creator can perform.

🔥 Fourth: Christ’s Absolute Authority

Christ’s divinity is revealed in His absolute authority over nature, demons, angels, life, and death, and even over Himself, as He said: “I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again.”

🌿 Fifth: Christ as the Eternal Word of God

The lecture explains the concept of “Logos” as the spoken rational mind of God. The Son is the wisdom and mind of God, eternally existing in the Father, uncreated, and through Him all things were made.

🕯️ Sixth: The Divinity of Christ and Redemption

Redemption could only be accomplished by an unlimited Redeemer, because sin is committed against the infinite God. Therefore, Christ had to be God incarnate in order to offer an unlimited atonement sufficient for the salvation of the whole world.

🌅 Spiritual Conclusion

The divinity of the Lord Jesus Christ is not a theoretical idea or based on one verse, but a complete truth revealed through His life, words, works, attributes, and redemption. He is God incarnate who came to save humanity and restore it to the Father.
