Heresy of Jehovah’s Witnesses (3)

Heresy of Jehovah’s Witnesses (3)
In the previous issue, we spoke in general about the heresies and false teachings of the Jehovah’s Witnesses. In this issue, we would like to mention some of their other heresies and their very mistaken interpretations of the verses of the Bible.
The Magi were worshipers of Satan, and the star they saw was the work of Satan!
God never spoke to a woman—not to Eve, nor even to the Virgin Mary!
The Magi and the Star:
Jehovah’s Witnesses say in their book The Harp of God:
“The Magi were nothing but a group of sorcerers and magicians… worshiping false gods, among them Satan himself.”
“It is shameful to suppose that God would use the Magi—sorcerers and worshipers of Satan—to be witnesses of the birth of His beloved Son.”
“The truth, as we see it in the Scriptures, is that those three Magi were not sent by God, but were led by Satan, God’s enemy, who was striving to ensnare the child. Thus those Magi were partners in the great crime which Satan was plotting.” (pp. 106–110)
And concerning the star that appeared to the Magi, they say in the same reference:
“It is unreasonable to think that God prepared a special star to travel from east to west and finally stand above Bethlehem. Satan and his fallen angels have a power granted to them by God to make certain lights appear, which seem close to the earth…”
“This star, or rather the light that appeared to the Magi and led them to where the Child was, is one of those lights made by the devil, and not a star created by Almighty God (Jehovah).”
The reply to this false interpretation:
There is no doubt that the Magi were Gentiles, but they had in their hearts a readiness to believe, just as Cornelius the Gentile and the centurion did.
Their readiness appears in their words: “Where is He who has been born King of the Jews? For we have seen His star in the East and have come to worship Him” (Matthew 2:2). They were sincere in this, for when they saw the Child Jesus, “they fell down and worshiped Him. Then they opened their treasures and presented gifts to Him” (Matthew 2:11).
Their sincerity and faith are shown not only in their worship of the Child Jesus, but also in their obedience to God when they did not return to Herod.
Thus, they were not part of a crime as the Jehovah’s Witnesses claim, nor were they sent by Satan, nor were they his followers or worshipers.
As for the star, it was not made by Satan, but was a divine power that guided the Magi. The star did not serve any satanic purpose.
God does not speak to women!!
Jehovah’s Witnesses say in their book The Truth Shall Make You Free (p. 100):
“Just as God did not address that animal serpent on the earth, He did not speak to the disobedient woman Eve, nor to any other woman descended from her, not even to the Jewish virgin Mary of Bethlehem.”
Besides the fact that this statement clearly contradicts the texts of the Holy Bible, we do not know what wisdom there would be in saying that God does not speak to women! Is it to diminish the worth of women? Was not woman also created in the image and likeness of God, just like Adam?
