Attributes of God – Judge of all creation
The sermon shows that one of God’s special and unique attributes is that He is the Judge of the whole creation; God judges the universe with justice because He knows everything that a person has done and intends to do, and nothing is hidden from Him.
Biblical evidence and verses
The sermon cites Biblical references: Abraham’s speaking about God judging the earth, the Psalms calling God the righteous Judge of the universe, and it refers to Matthew (showing Christ seated on his glorious throne to judge) and John 5 where matters concerning judgment are given to the Son.
The nature of divine judgment
God’s judgment is not merely an external authority but is founded on complete knowledge of hearts: every thought, every desire, and every intention is known to God, therefore His judgment is just and covers what a person has done and what he intended.
Relation of judgment to the proof of Christ’s divinity
Christ exercising judgment and possessing the attribute of Judge is considered evidence of His divinity and divine knowledge; when Christ performs what are God’s own characteristics, this is a proof of His deity as the text explains.
The consequence of understanding God’s judgment
Knowing that God is the Judge teaches humility before His wisdom and knowledge, and opens the way to surrender to His just providence, because no one can dispute God’s judgment in His hidden and revealed matters.
