✝️ God the Righteous Judge
His Holiness Pope Shenouda III speaks about one of the unique divine attributes that belong to God alone — that He is the Righteous Judge.
He explains that divine justice surpasses all human fairness, for God alone knows everything perfectly — the secrets of the heart, the intentions of the mind, and the deeds done in secret or in public. Therefore, when God judges, He judges with complete knowledge of every circumstance and motive.

God judges not only because He knows but also because it is His right to judge, since every sin is directed against Him personally and breaks His commandments. That is why David the Prophet said: “Against You only have I sinned, and done evil in Your sight.”

God’s justice is not merely judgment but is also filled with mercy, for He never wrongs anyone and always judges with perfect truth. As Abraham said: “Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?” confirming that all God’s judgments are just and true.

• God is just in all His ways, and we must trust His justice even when we don’t understand it.

• We should not judge others, for judgment belongs to God alone.

• God’s justice reveals His mercy, for He understands human weakness and weighs every act with perfect knowledge.
