Etiquette for attending church
The etiquette of attending church in the Coptic faith reflects our respect for the place of worship and its sanctity, and includes:
Spiritual preparation: Believers come to church with a pure heart and a repentant spirit, ready to pray and draw closer to God.
Modest dress: Believers wear appropriate clothing that preserves the sanctity of the place and expresses respect.
Calm and tranquillity: Maintain calm and do not speak loudly during prayer or sermons.
Active participation: Pay attention to prayers, hymns, and readings, and participate with a spirit of faith and reverence.
Respect for church order: Follow the instructions of priests and servants, and do not be distracted by worldly matters inside the church.
No mobile phones: Turn off phones or put them on silent mode to avoid disturbance.
These etiquettes help the believer to fully benefit spiritually from the time spent in the house of God and show his love and respect for God and his congregation.
